The Mentality, philosophy and history of human rights
The Scandinavian Institute has organized on 25. 26 of October 2014 a crash course in French language for the French Association of
(Association civic life) (Association vie citoyenne) about (The Mentality, philosophy and history of human rights) .
Oversaw the training a group of well trained professionals in the field:
Dr. Mohammad Amin Almidani (Professor of Law and founder of the Arabic program at Rene Cassin Institute in Strasbourg).
Dr. Haytham Manna (head of the Scandinavian Institute).
Ms. Emily Lefevre (French lawyer).
Mr. Faraj Fneish (Executive Director of the Middle East and North Africa in the High Commissioner Office for Human Rights).
The number of participants reached 21 activists.
The program dealt with over the two days with the following topics:
Human Rights between history, philosophy and law
The origins and evolution of the concept of civic community.
National sovereignty and international justice
Human Rights Council and the High Commissioner office for Human Rights.
European system of human rights protection
Human Rights between theory and practice
